Why go to collEge?
For a long time, I have struggled to find a reason to go to college. When asked about my future, I always gave the answer of going to college, but when asked why, I simply shrugged my shoulders. After much thought, I realized that going to college was much more than the "key to a successful future", which I believed meant stability. Rather than go to college to simply get a career and continue this never-ending cycle that we call our daily lives, I want to create a change. I cannot bend the future to my own will, because it takes a world of people to do that, but I can, in my own small way, create a change in the world itself, thus creating a better environment for future generations. Many may believe that this is nothing more than a fantasy, but it is because of dreams like these that anything has ever gotten accomplished in the world. It is a dream of liberty that paved the road for America's independence, it is a dream of equality that guided Martin luther King, Jr., and it is a dream of making the world a better place that will drive me to make my difference and leave my footprint.
For me, college is much more than the key to a stable; it is the gateway to fulfilling my dreams and ambitions.
